Dr Stephanie Ma
Dr Stephanie Ma is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Biomedical Sciences at The University of Hong Kong. She obtained her BSc and MSc at The University of British Columbia, Canada and her PhD at The University of Hong Kong. Stephanie‘s research interest focuses on identifying stemness vulnerabilities in cancer, which is now widely accepted as a tumour’s sweet-spot, driving cancer relapse and therapy resistance. Through her increasing participation in various outreach activities, one of her new-found interest is to share her enthusiasm and passion for cancer research by communicating science to the wider public, inspiring the next generation of scientists and demonstrating that science is fun and for everyone.
